Purpose
Because Christian marriage is a sacrament, the Catholic Church wants couples to be well-prepared. Marriage preparation assists the couple in developing a better understanding of the sacrament; to evaluate and deepen their readiness to live married life; and to gain insights into themselves as individuals and as a couple.
Preparing
This is an interactive session facilitated by priests, deacons and couples who are deeply committed to the Sacrament of Marriage. Please come prepared to fully participate, and with any questions you may have regarding the Sacrament of Matrimony.
Mass will not be celebrated as part of the program, so please plan accordingly. One hour will be allowed for lunch during the course of the day. All materials will be provided and comfortable dress is recommended.
The registration fee is $95 per couple. Payment can be made on-line by credit card or check if completing on-line registration. If mailing in payment, please make check or money order made payable to the Diocese of Victoria.
If you have any questions, or need to pursue financial assistance to attend, please contact Justin Reyes at jreyes@victoriadiocese.org or 361-573-0828 x 2265.
We look forward to helping you prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony! God Bless!
