"The Christian family is the first place of education in prayer...the family is the 'domestic church' where God's children learn to pray." - Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2285
What is prayer? God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. God speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Prayer is our response to God who is already speaking or, better yet, revealing Himeself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.
At Mass we remember the Paschal Mystery, but what does that really mean and how do we incorporate it into our lives each and every day? As we think about crosses we bear in our life this month, take some time to learn more about the Paschal Mystery by clicking on this LINK.
Throughout the year, we will focus on a few prayers in addition to encouraging families to pray the rosary together. Find the month's prayers on this page, as well as other places throughout the website. The prayers of the rosary in multiple languges will be on the "Rosary" page on this website. The "Documents" section will have links to prayer cards you can download and print. These prayers (and more!) can be found on the USCCB website: here.
You can also submit intentions for each month, anonymously, via our digital prayer jar
