Very Rev. Gary Janak, J.C.L.

Reverend Gary Janak was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Victoria on May 14, 1988. He has served in parishes in Victoria, Yoakum and El Campo. He is currently assigned as rector/pastor of The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory and is Vicar General and Chancellor for the diocese. He also serves as the Executive Director of  The Emmaus Center. Father Janak holds graduate degrees in theology, canon law and counseling and is licensed by the State of Texas as a professional counselor.

In describing marriage, Pope Francis had said, “Living together is an art, a patient, beautiful, fascinating journey.” This workshop will address the barriers to effective communication and present ways to sharpen and improve couple communication. Included will be suggestions for spouses to create their own particular couple spirituality, which is at the heart of the marriage covenant.
