"I was born in Uruguay, but raised in the United States. My family and I live in Wadsworth, TX. I was raised as a Cradle Catholic and began Altar Serving as soon as I made my First Communion. It was at that time that I first felt called to be a priest. I was supported by my school and family. I maintained that I wanted to be a priest from 3rd-8th grade. When I got to high school, I went through a challenging yet necessary process of embracing the faith that I was brought into as my own. I had the freedom to decide if I believed that the Catholic Church was the true Church of Christ and the surest way to heaven. With the help of my parents, catechists, and above all, the gift of faith from the Holy Spirit, I became convicted in the existence of God and His great love for us. The day of my confirmation was very important for me after I went through this journey with God. I began attending daily Mass and doing a weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament during my senior year of High School to discern what God willed for my life. In this time, I again heard the call of the Lord to serve him as a priest and, after seeking the counsel of several priests, it was clear that the seminary was the best place for me to continue my discernment. Thanks be to God that it has been affirmed every year. Although there continue to be challenging moments, I have found a profound interior joy and freedom in striving to do God's Will. To Him be Glory forever. AMEN."
