Elementary School Job Description

St. Michael’s Catholic School is seeking full-time and part-time Elementary positions for the 2024-2025 academic year.  

Qualifications

Along with a love for learning, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and Texas Teacher Certification.  The desired applicant will be able to provide engaging and active instruction, possess a high level of content mastery, collaborate well with colleagues, and be experienced in teaching subjects. A familiarity with classical education is preferred. The candidate should understand how a Catholic worldview permeates the curriculum and instruction, understand the role of the poetic imagination in education, and be a disciple of Christ committed to providing a Gospel witness.

Library Manager/Teacher’s Assistant

Manage Shiner Catholic School’s daily library operations with oversight from a certified librarian. Assist elementary teaching staff with daily teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications/Responsibilities (Librarian)
•Perform daily operations of the library

• Serve as the information specialist/program administrator for the physical and virtual library environments
