Primary Purpose: Instruction of
Geometry- This course covers the concepts of Plane Geometry and extends these concepts to 3-dimensional situations where possible. The first semester includes formal proofs. In the second semester, calculations are emphasized with formally proven theorems as part of the explanation.
Geometry Honors- The objectives of this course include all the objectives of the regular Geometry course with more emphasis on formal proofs and more challenging problems. Knowing the formulas is assumed and given information will not be the exact dimensions needed for the formulas. The challenge is to use the given information to calculate the dimensions needed to compute the area or volume.

Physics Honors - This course will also emphasize hands-on experimentation, problem solving, and real life questioning. Students will have a chance to experience independent study, and project constructions. The students will inter-link the topics covered in the Physics course.
Forensic Science - This course introduces students to the application of science to connect a violation of law to a specific criminal, criminal act, or behavior and victim. Students will learn terminology and procedures related to the search and examination of physical evidence in criminal cases as they perform laboratory investigation.

Special focus will be paid to current events including election results in addition to national, state, and local issues.
Economics (Spring semester) - This senior-level class is a capstone course in which students will study the structure and function of the U.S. Economic system and the variety of influences upon it. The basic elements include the principles of growth affecting the national economy, basic economic principles, consumer skills, national problems and goals and international economics.
World History - A sophomore-level survey course that focuses on the story of populations and historical themes in cultures across the globe. Students will look at the historical evolution of Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and South America. Important men and women of these great nations and empires will be explored along with important documents and thematic concepts.
Potential for other humanities electives depending on candidate’s interest.

Responsibilities: Potential to serve on faculty advisory committees, sponsor
student organizations, serve as support staff through proctoring or monitoring student activities during the school day, or coach depending on the candidate's interest.
Education/
Certification:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Degree should be in the content area or appropriate state certificate, or 24 credit hours in the content area taught
- 12 credit hours in education or a valid, appropriate state certificate
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of secondary social studies instruction preferred
Compensation: Competitive salary will be commensurate with experience
