2024 Bishop David Fellhauer InvitationalApril 12, 2024
The Bishop David Fellhauer Invitational Golf Tournament is hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council #9088 from Holy Family Church in Victoria. The chairman this year is Paul Hawes. The tournament will take place on April 12, 2024, at The Club at Colony Creek.
This is strictly an invitational tournament. Those who sponsor at the $200 level and above get priority to play the tournament. 22 teams will be accepted.
Sponsorships for the tournament are categorized under the following levels:
Bishop — $1,000.00 +
Monsignor - $500.00
Priest - $200.00
Deacon- $100.00
Seminarian - $50.00
The funds from this tournament benefit the education of the seminarians of the Diocese of Victoria and the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The average cost to educate one seminarian for a year is $35,000. There are currently 7 seminarians in the Diocese of Victoria. In addition to the tournament there is a special fund, Education of Seminarian Fund, that is collected on Holy Thursday at diocesan parishes. Donations for this fund are accepted throughout the year.
The tournament also benefits the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The funds have allowed scholarships for youth to attend retreats throughout the year and other ministry needs.
